Pillars of Hercules

The Pillars of Hercules Although the pillars (aka Speelyei’s Columns) are readily accessible and technically reasonable to climb, this formation is seldom ascended because the rock is mossy and friable. This cobblestone basalt formation offers minimal climbing options on the south face only. Its wise to wear a helmet on this climb.
